Initial Questionaire

Before you answer this questionnaire  take a look at the How will student performance be evaluated.Done.
How good are you at meeting deadlines? Do you leave things to the last minute?Depends on the load of work I have.

What kind of film/videos do you like to watch? Give an example of a film that has had an effect on you? What was there about the story or performances or cinematography or editing or direction that you thought was particularly effective.The Shawshank Redemption. A good everything. Elephant had a unique style of filming.
What is you previous experience with video production. What have you produced? What skills do you have?I have done a 10 minute film in my old school. I have used HD cameras before, booms, final cut pro, Imovie, I have recorded sound effects, I have made a stop motion as well and remade scenes from famous movies.
What equipment do you access to at home? Cameras (NTSC or PAL) media? Editing software? etc?I have access to a camera ( I believe it is PAL), windows movie maker and Imovie.
Is there a story that you have thought about making into a video, of something that you want to document with video, or any other video project that you would like to complete by the end of this course?Nothing in mind at the moment.
Take a look at some of the festivid videos. Pick one that seems interesting to you.
Describe the plot.
Describe the techniques in terms of direction, design (location, costume, makeup, color), camera work, video editing, audio track, special effects, title/credit design, performances.
What influences can you detect in the video?
What advice would you give the production team to improve the video?
"A Tribute to Seniors 1998" Awesome sound track, lots of effects, a cool video in general in terms of their concentrated flexibility due to technology.
Are there any questions that you have at this stage?nope.
